Liza Raynal has been an educator for more than 10 years. First, she taught middle school writing and currently she's the Middle School Head at an independent Pre K-12 school.
She's written and performed two one-woman shows, "CardioGram" and "American Joe." The latter, about her brother joining the army and deploying to Afghanistan, ran for eight-weeks at The Marsh Theater in San Francisco. Now, she mostly writes about education and, for escape, travel. Lulu's Volcano is her first children's book.
A graduate of Brown University, Liza lives in the Bay Area with her husband. When she's not writing or working with middle schoolers, you'll find her figuring out how to take her next travel adventure.
